Kuohu Records on itsenäinen levymerkki, joka julkaisee musiikkia taidepopista, jazzin ja elokuvallisen folkin kautta groovaaviin biitteihin. Kuohu Recordsin tekijät ovat musiikintuottajia, multi-instrumentalisteja, säveltäjiä ja tarinankertojia. He ovat tähän saakka olleet myös kaikki naisia. Kuka väitti, ettei alalla ole naistekijöitä?!

​Vuonna 2020 tuottaja ja artisti Oona Kapari perusti Kuohu Recordsin julkaistakseen sen kautta oman debyyttisinglensä Läpikuultava. Pian sen tehtyään hän näki huutavan tarpeen uudenlaiselle ajattelulle musiikin julkaisutoiminnassa Suomessa ja niin Kuohu Records alkoi kasvaa ja kehittyä.

Kuohu Recordsin rosterissa on tällä hetkellä yhdeksän artistia tai yhtyettä. Kaikilla heistä on oma uniikki soundinsa ja täydet taiteelliset vapaudet.

Kuohu Records is an independent label that releases music with genres from art pop to cinematic folk music and with some funky grooves in the mix! To this day they have all been women. Who says we don't have female producers and song writers?!

The label was founded by producer and artist Oona Kapari in 2020 to release her debut single Läpikuultava. She then quickly realized that a new way of thinking in the music business was desperately needed and from that Kuohu Records started to grow and evolve.

Right now in our roster we have 9 artists that are professional producers, multi-instrumentalists and songwriters. All of them have their own unique sound and the freedom to create as they please. Kuohu Records has released music in three different languages and one main goal. To tell a story that matters and give the audience a place to find it.
